Fire door specialists for landlords, agents and building owners in Liverpool

Fire doors are one of the most important safety features in any rented house, block of flats or commercial building. They hold back fire and smoke long enough for people to get out, and they protect the escape routes the fire service relies on. But a fire door only works if it’s the right door, fitted the right way and kept in good condition. That’s what we do.

Why choose Liverpool Joinery Services for fire doors?

  • Trained and certified: UK Fire Door trained and FireQual certified for fire door installation and inspection.
  • Certified from blank to installation: BWF-certified solid-core blanks, fitted with compatible fire-rated hinges, closers, seals and ironmongery.
  • Standard or made to measure: common sizes available from stock, and custom fire door assemblies for older or non-standard openings.
  • Paperwork you can rely on: written certification and sign-off documentation with every installation, and clear pass/fail reports after every inspection.
  • Tenant-friendly: experienced working in occupied flats and HMOs with minimal disruption.

How it works

  1. Get in touch: call 0151 721 0790 or send us an enquiry with the address and number of doors.
  2. Survey and quote: we inspect the doors or measure the openings and give you a clear, no-obligation quote.
  3. Installation or repair: our fitters carry out the work to the manufacturer’s instructions and current standards.
  4. Certification & sign-off: you receive the documentation to keep on file for your fire risk assessor, insurer or local authority.

Joinery across Merseyside

Alongside our fire door work, we’ve spent over 20 years providing general joinery across Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens and the Wirral. That includes internal and external door hanging, skirting boards, architraves and flooring, and garden decking. Have a question about fire doors? Our fire door FAQs cover the most common ones.

Victorian fire door Liverpool: the original door from the hallway side before replacement
BEFORE: the original Victorian door before replacement
Victorian fire door Liverpool: finished: the certified fire door assembly, with the original Victorian architrave on the hallway side kept exactly as it was
AFTER: made-to-measure certified fire door with the original architrave kept

Fire Doors for Victorian & Period Properties

Liverpool’s large Victorian houses have tall, out-of-square doorways where a standard fire door won’t fit. We make certified fire doors to measure for each opening, keep original features like architraves wherever we can, and hand over full certification and sign-off paperwork for every door.
