Our Story: A Liverpool Fire Door Company
Liverpool Joinery Services, a fire door company based in Liverpool, was founded by Richard Hughes with a simple aim: an honest, reliable joinery service, done properly, first time.
That grounding came from over 20 years working across Merseyside on the production and erection of timber frame housing — hands-on experience on everything from single-room jobs to full new-build developments. Years spent seeing projects through from first fix to final sign-off taught us what most joinery companies never have to learn: how to spot a problem before it becomes one, and how to plan a job so it doesn’t need revisiting.
That same standard now sits behind our specialism in fire door installation, inspection and maintenance. As fire safety regulation has tightened across rented and commercial property, we’ve trained and certified to match it — UK Fire Door trained and FireQual-certified for installation and inspection, and working to BS 8214:2026. We manufacture our own bespoke fire doors using BWF-certified solid core blanks with flush ply face construction, so every fire door we fit is treated as a complete, tested assembly — and every job comes with the documentation to prove it.
