Fire doors and rented properties

Internal doors
From panel and moulded doors to solid hardwood, glazed and bi-fold doors, we hang internal doors in new builds, refurbishments and single-room updates. Older Liverpool properties often have openings that are out of square or a non-standard size, so every door is trimmed and fitted to its own frame rather than forced in. Where frames, linings or architraves are damaged, we can replace those at the same time so the finished door looks right as well as working properly.
External and uPVC doors
An external door needs to keep out the weather and keep your property secure. We fit made-to-measure uPVC doors and timber external doors, making sure the door is square and weathertight, and that the locks and handles are fitted and working properly before we leave.
Doors that stick, drag or won’t latch
Houses move, hinges wear and doors swell, so a door that used to close perfectly can start to catch on the frame or floor. Often the door can be rehung, adjusted or planed rather than replaced, and we’ll tell you honestly which option makes more sense before any work starts.
Landlords and letting agents
We regularly fit and replace doors in rented houses, flats and HMOs, working around tenants with dust sheets and clean site practice as standard. If a door also needs to be fire-rated, we can supply and fit a certified fire door, provided with sign-off documentation and certification for your compliance records.
